the local development. Many fields, either in Zhaoqing or other places, have seen its contributions in translating or interpreting, and language training.

A great number of ZQTA members have provided translation service for most of the Zhaoqing star projects. Such projects include the Fenghua Electric Project, the Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Project, the Star Lake Hi-tech project, the biscuit production line project, the Antelope powder painting project, the highway building equipment introduction project, Dinghu Foodstuff & Poultry Processing Introduction Project, Yunfu Cement Plant Project, and a steel plant project in Guizhou Province. ZQTA has also provides translation service for some overseas companies through E-mail.

ZQTA has trained a number of English speaking guides and published a Chinese-English guide-book beneficial to Zhaoqing's tourist industry.

ZQTA are active in academic exchanges not only within the Municipality but also in Guangdong Province and even in China. Many members have won prizes in such exchanges for their excellent papers, which have been compiled into a number of books. ZQTA members themselves have published three books of translation/interpretation research and skills by famous pressing house.

All what has been done in the past has laid a solid foundation for the future improvement. With the support from leaders of the Authorities, and various areas, ZQTA is going to continue its contributions to the local municipality and other places.
